ABOUT THE RCARA
The River Cities Amateur Radio Association is an ARRL-affiliated radio club formed in 1979 as a meeting place for ham radio operators to meet, discuss ideas, and further our skills & knowledge in radio communication & preparedness. Our club meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00PM at the Boyd County EMS Station 1, located at 2758 Greenup Avenue in Ashland. Starting in 2020, we also host free VE testing sessions following our monthly meetings.
Our club is open to all members, licensed or not licensed who are looking to get into ham radio, emergency preparedness, or just looking for a fun group of people to hang out with. Come join us at a meeting or event and see what what we're all about! You can also check out the links above to find out more info about our repeater & nets, our digital packet nodes, and more.
